Start The Week Stamping!

Free weekly card making tutorials using Stampin' Up! products.

This week I am using the Whale Done stamp set and matching punch to create this nautical themed card

Card Tutorial, Stampin' Up! Whale Done stamp set and Whale punch

The spring flowers are blooming and thoughts are turning to holidays! The background to this card reminds me of a beach towel and it's really easy to create.

You will need a piece of Basic White, 14.85cm by 10.5cm, four Basic White strips, 10.5cm by 1cm and five Bermuda Bay strips also 10.5cm by 1cm

Position the rectangle of Basic White in portrait, stick one of the Bermuda Bay strips along the bottom, then add a white strip butted against it. Repeat with the Bermuda Bay then, continue until you have used all the strips.

I then used the largest Deckled Rectangle die to cut it out (13cm by 9.5cm).

Instructions

Make the towel as detailed above

Stamp the whale on Basic White in Memento Black and punch it out. Punch the water splashes from Bermuda Bay.

Die cut the sentiment panel from Basic White using the 3rd largest Deckled Rectangle die (10cm by 6.5cm), Stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay, the hearts in Poppy Parade and use second generation stamping for the fish in Bermuda Bay.

Add the whale and water splashes using dimensionals and decorate with the embellishments

Assemble the card, the sentiment piece is on dimensionals, the remaining piece of Basic White is for the inside.

I hope you have a go and share what you make.

Crafty hugs, Linda xx
