Hello and welcome to my first ever Video Hop!! I'm so excited to be given the opportunity to join the Stamp Around UK, a group of fellow UK Stampin' Up! demonstrators who do this every month.
This month's theme is stepping up, as the lovely Connie Stewart says, now, wow and holy cow! I have made three different cards, all with the same basic layout, stamp set and materials but each one has been given that little bit extra. To go straight to the video hop click the picture.
Card One - Now
This card is a simple stamped card using just the stamps and a little bit of layering. Particularly suitable for a beginner crafter with only a few supplies or someone who needs a card that is quick to make
Materials
A6 Just Jade book fold card blank, 21cm by 14.85cm scored from the long side at 10.5cm
BumbleBee card stock 13.9cm by 9.5cm
Basic White 13.4cm by 9cm
Instructions
Stamp the chicken roughly in the middle of the card using Memento Black ink then colour using the dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend plus the Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider Stamp and Write Pens.
Stamp the greeting and confetti using Misty Moonlight. Add a few random dots to the confetti using the the Stampin' Blend pen.
Glue the layers together - quick and easy.
Card Two - Wow!
We have stepped this up for the casual crafter, they have a die cutting machine and have invested in the coordinating Birthday Chick Dies. This card has more dimension and a few extra little details.
Materials
Same as card one but with extra scraps of Misty Moonlight and Basic White for die cutting
Instructions
Stamp the Chicken on the scrap of Basic White, colour as before and die cut out
Using the Misty Moonlight scrap die cut the happy birthday and bow.
Adhere the die cut chicken to the larger Basic White piece using dimensionals then stamp the confetti and glue the happy birthday and bow as shown
Assemble the card and add some Daffodil Delight dots to the confetti
Card Three - Holy Cow!!
We have joined the avid crafter! Dies, embossing folders and stamp sets galore! Still using the same basic layout we have added even more dimension using the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder and some blending techniques in the colouring.
Materials
Same as for card two
Instructions
This time the Bumble Bee layer as been embossed.
The Basic White layer has been die cut using the Stitched So Sweetly dies, and mounted on dimensionals
The Happy Birthday has been die cut from Basic White and adhered to the Misty Moonlight also die cut using the stitched So Sweetly Dies then attached using more dimensionals
Finally the chicken has been coloured in using both the light and dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends for a more 3D effect, phew!!
