Cheers to Tidings and Trimmings!!

Stampin' Up! international card making tutorial share header

The brief for this month's card was holidays!! In the UK the next big holiday is Christmas so I chose the Tidings of Christmas Suite.

An incredibly versatile stamp and die bundle combined with my favourite Christmas DSP of the year I have created this fun gift card holder.

Picture of the finished hand made gift card holder made using the Tidings of Christmas suite from Stampin' Up!

Materials

Misty Moonlight card base

29.5cm by 10.5cm (piece of A4 cut in half vertically) scored from the long side at 6cm and 14.85cm

Basic White

14.4cm by 10cm, plus extra for stamping and die cutting

Tidings of Christmas DSP

three pieces cut as follows 10cm by 8.4cm, 10cm by 5.5cm and 9.5cm by 5.2cm

Lattice star cut from Gold foil

Solid star cut from Misty Moonlight

Instructions

Hand made gift card holder made using the Tidings of Christmas suite of products from Stampin' Up! open to show how to complete the inside

Fold and burnish the 14.85cm score line then fold at the 6cm score line so the flap is on the inside of the card and burnish. Attach the 10cm by 5.5cm piece of the DSP to the flap then using a small circle punch or die cut a finger hole. Put a narrow line of adhesive along the top and bottom of the underside of the flap and fold to form a pocket on the inside of the card front.

Adhere the Basic White piece to the inside of the card and add the 9.5cm by 5.2cm piece of DSP as shown above. Then stick the remaining piece of DSP to the front of the card.

Stamp the stocking and sentiment in Misty Moonlight, the bow in Cherry Cobbler. Die cut them out plus a gold foil open lattice star and a Misty Moonlight solid star.

Glue both stars together add the sentiment and attach to the front of the card using Dimensionals. Glue the bow onto the stocking and add to the right-hand side of the card using dimensionals.

This is a lovely way to give gift cards or money to people and a good fun fold to have in your repertoire that can be made for any occasion. There is plenty of space in the middle to write or add another sentiment. Do let me know what you think.
